Marquita Miller has announced the release of her first book, Faithpreneur: God Is Not an Agent for Your Failure, But for Your Success. Miller, entrepreneur and founder of Five Star Tax and Business Solutions LLC, developed the 12-step book to guide readers on the faith-based path to starting or improving their small business. Designed to support readers both spiritually and practically, Miller’s book contains prayers, anecdotes, testimonials from fellow entrepreneurs, brainstorming worksheets, business development checklists and a resource guide. As an additional resource for readers of her book, Miller will lead seminars and workshops based on the principles in Faithpreneur.
Miller’s book is timely, given the state of the economy and the number of unemployed or underemployed workers striving to jumpstart their careers. As workers become frustrated with the lack of employment options and shorter work weeks, Miller’s book discusses spiritual resources and business development methodology to help such workers enter new careers as small business owners.
“The Small Business Association reports there were 29.6 million businesses as of 2008,” Miller says. “Seven out of ten businesses last at least two years, and only half survive five years or more. One thing that entrepreneurs have in common is that they are typically risk takers.”
Unlike many guidance books, Miller’s Faithpreneur helps budding entrepreneurs mitigate the risk of starting a business while fostering the ideals of living one’s God-given purpose. Miller has applied her personal experience in the tax and business consultation business to ensure that her techniques are both supportive and informative. Upon coming to the conclusion of Miller’s book or seminar, entrepreneurs will find themselves more prepared and motivated to take the first step into small business ownership.
